Motive: Rage
Crime: The murder of her boyfriend, Jack Sebastian, in Miami.
Method: One shot in the head from a Smith & Wesson pump-action shotgun.
Sentence: A long term of imprisonment.
Interesting facts: Shelton had phoned 911 and claimed her boyfriend had shot himself. After observing the gunshot wound to his face and running a variety of different ballistics tests however, it was decided that this could not possibly be the case. The only way he could have done it without it touching his skin, was to grip it with his feet. However, not only did the tests show that the shot was fired 2 feet away from his face, but they also showed that it had been fired from above the victim's head. Therefore it could not have been suicide.
